“The Brix at Midtown” Opens Leasing Center Near Grand Rapids’ Medical Mile

Grand Rapids, Mich. – March 9, 2017 – The Brix at Midtown, a new 287-unit apartment community under construction off Michigan Street and Benson Avenue, is opening its Leasing Office at 629 Michigan Street. The project is on target to have luxury apartment homes ready for occupancy this summer.

“The Brix at Midtown” name pays homage to the early history of Midtown from the Dutch term, “Brickyatt” for brickyard. Dutch and Polish settlers in the area and worked together making the bricks which would build Midtown and the surrounding Grand Rapids areas. “The goal of ‘The Brix at Midtown’ is to be just as dedicated to Midtown as the original settlers were by developing a vibrant community,” Brookins said.
The project is prominently located on The Michigan Street Corridor Medical Mile adjacent to The Women’s Health Center and near Spectrum Health, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Grand Valley State University Cook DeVos Center, Michigan State College of Human Medicine and The Van Andel Institute.
The development is being managed by RISE; A Real Estate Company, which has developed 72 projects in 22 states since 1995. RISE retained more than 50 Michigan-based companies using Grand Rapids-based Wolverine Building Group as Project Lead.
