On-Campus P3 Student Housing
Cedar Hall, Evangeline Hall and Highland Hall were delivered to Louisiana State University as part of the second phase of a multi-phase, public private partnership (P3) on-campus student housing development.
The new 405 bed Cedar Hall was closely programmed for freshmen students and constructed to replace the adjacent high-rise dorm, Kirby Smith Hall, which remained occupied during construction.
The sequential renovation of the historic Evangeline and Highland Halls included 277 beds and extensive renovation to preserve each community’s historical components while incorporating in-suite bathrooms and extensive living-learning spaces.
This development included the redevelopment and construction of a state-of-the-art, $16 million acility for the LSU AgCenter to make way for Phase 3 on the existing greenhouse space in the core of campus.
RISE provides facility and asset management for the partnership while LSU Housing & Residence Life provides all res life programming, room assignments and rent collection.
