Description:
The RISE team was selected by the University of North Georgia in February 2009 for a multi-phased project that included cadet housing, on-campus civilian housing, dining, parking, and retail. With multiple phased deliveries between 2010 and 2012, each component was delivered on-budget and on-time.
Included in the development scope was the Gaillard Hall renovation, Patriot Hall, Liberty Hall, and the Chestatee Building. Altogether, RISE delivered over 1,380 beds, 390K+ SF of livable space, 1,200 on-campus dining seats, a 1,080-space parking deck, and ~48K SF of retail space.
Patriot Hall was specifically designed to fit the organizational structure of the Corps of Cadets in a single building facility and is located at one of highest points on campus, which allows for truly spectacular views of the Drill Field, the golden steeple of Price Memorial Hall and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Gaillard Hall renovation transformed the cadet barracks into a suite-style living arrangement with private bathrooms and multiple, common gathering spaces throughout.
The Chestatee Building’s mixed-use programming includes the flagship bookstore, coffee shop, Student Health Center, offices for auxiliary services, street-level retail and general office space. The facility connects the campus with the downtown area and features a design character that complements the historic nature of Dahlonega, GA.
Prior to this large-scale campus transformation, RISE also developed and delivered a 314-bed, 118,878 SF residence hall to the campus in August 2002.
