On April 13, 2022, RISE celebrated the groundbreaking of Element 34 in Gainesville, FL. Element 34 is RISE’s second development in the Gainesville market and designed to provide a “flexibility of lifestyle” to young professionals and graduate students looking for an upscale and modern living experience while pursuing their careers.
A small ceremony on-site welcomed a gathering of RISE team members along with vendor partners and others involved in the project. Matt Marshall, Vice President of Development, welcomed the crowd, commenting on the consistency he is now hosting groundbreakings. Marshall reiterated RISE’s commitment to pursuing developments in Florida and noted the uniqueness of the Gainesville market and what attracted the company to start their second development in the city. The first, Anthem House, was developed by RISE and was completed in Summer 2021.
Marshall offered a special thanks to a few individuals including: Gerry Dedenbach (Executive Vice President, CHW Professional Consultants), Beau Beery (commercial real estate broker & advisor), the RISE finance team, Courtney Gordon (RISE Chief Operating Officer), and the RISE leadership for giving the team “the opportunity to do something we all love to do.”
Marshall introduced Brandon Spencer to speak next. Spencer is the Development Project Manager for Element 34.
Spencer said this event was “a really exciting moment for the RISE family, and the culmination of almost two years of hard work: coordinating, planning, and designing the building going up behind us.”
“It takes a huge team and a family to put projects like these together.”
Spencer spoke about the long-term legacy of this development, noting that over the 40-year life of this development it has the potential to house and serve over 14,500 people. 14,500 people who in turn will leave their own legacies and impact the Gainesville community.
Spencer touched on the need to be adaptable to best serve the target market of young professionals, graduate students, and young families.
“To accommodate these residents, we have to be flexible and provide a variety of housing opportunities and amenities that reflect different lifestyles and trends.
“Here at Element 34 we aim to do just that by offering hybrid living opportunities.”
Element 34 will offer 223 units of one and two-bedroom floor plans featuring elevated amenities and features. There will be 71 one-bedroom units and 146 two-bedroom units. Furnished and unfurnished units will be available.
